CRUSTA STICKS sticks for crustaceans with marine algae and spirulina. CRUSTA STICKS is the food in the form of quickly sinking sticks that do not disintegrate in water. They has been enriched with marine algae and spirulina (6%).
CRUSTA STICKS is intended for feeding all species of dwarf shrimps (e.g.: Amano shrimp, babaulti, red cherry, biene, tiger shrimp, blue shrimp), longarm shrimps (Macrobrachium sp.) and other aquatic crustaceans, including marine shrimps with high nutritional demands. The sticks contain the increased amount of calcium, which is indispensable for proper shape and development of crustaceans’ shells.

These quick-sinking sticks are built for invertebrates, with marine algae and spirulina plus added calcium to support the moulting cycle. That calcium angle matters here because Singapore tap water is soft and slightly acidic, which on its own does not give shrimp much to draw on when they harden a new shell. A calcium-aware staple food helps fill that gap between water changes and remineralising.

Drop one or two sticks at a time onto a feeding dish so leftovers are easy to spot and remove. In a warm 27-29C tank a hungry shrimp colony swarms food within minutes, but anything uneaten after a couple of hours should come out before it fuels a planaria or hydra bloom. We feed lightly and let biofilm do the rest of the work.
