Description
Asia SOFT LINE M
Soft Line Asia M is a soft, sinking food designed for omnivorous and carnivorous fish from Asia.
One of the most popularly replicated habitats in Asia is the warm (up to 29°C), plant-filled waters, including shallow reservoirs used for rice field irrigation. The water here is soft, with a neutral to slightly acidic pH. Fish such as gouramis, bettas (including the colorful Betta splendens and other Betta species), Kuhli loaches, bala sharks, and wedge-tail rasboras thrive in these conditions.
In aquariums replicating this habitat, the use of plenty of roots and leaves, along with fibrous peat at the bottom, is recommended. On the contrary, river and stream biotopes are characterized by well-oxygenated water and are home to fish like rasboras, danios, and Chinese algae eaters. Indonesia, on the other hand, hosts unique aquarium rarities, including various rainbowfish species and ricefish from the Adrianichthyidae family.
The innovative granulated fish food from the Soft Line is eagerly consumed and easily assimilated by aquarium fish. The high hydro stability of these pellets ensures that they maintain their shape in water, with minimal swelling. This stability limits the release of nutrients into the aquarium water, preventing cloudiness.
The granules consist of herring, which provides an excellent amino acid profile, crustaceans rich in unsaturated fatty acids and chitin, several species of algae, and larvae of Hermetia illucens flies, offering a substantial energy boost. Additionally, Soft Line granules enhance fish immunity with ingredients like natural immunostimulant beta-glucan, garlic, algae prebiotics, and vitamin C. The inclusion of the interesting planktonic crustacean Calanus finmarchicus adds a source of astaxanthin, protein rich in essential amino acids, and omega-3 fatty acids. Thanks to its soft texture and rich blend of ingredients, Soft Line fish food allows for a feeding experience close to their natural diet, providing comfort for aquarium enthusiasts.
Soft, sinking granulated food for omnivorous and carnivorous fish from Asia, including herring and insects, providing high-quality protein and Omega-3, Omega-6, and Omega-9 fatty acids.
Enhances fish colors with a high content of carotenoids from crustaceans (including Calanus) and red pepper, along with added astaxanthin.
The elevated beta-glucan content contributes to fish immunity.
The exceptional palatability of the food encourages fish to feed.
Feeding Soft Line Asia M in a Singapore community tank
The Asian biotope this food is built around is essentially what most of us already keep in Singapore: warm tanks sitting at the ambient 27-29C, with our soft, slightly-acidic tap water that suits gouramis, bettas, kuhli loaches and rasboras without much tinkering. Because the sinking pellets soften quickly, mid-water and bottom feeders can take them at their own pace rather than racing the surface grabbers, which is handy in a mixed shoaling tank.
In our experience the larger M pellet suits fuller-grown gouramis, pearl danios and adult rasbora shoals rather than tiny nano fish. Offer only what is cleared in a couple of minutes, once or twice a day. In a warm HDB tank metabolisms run fast, so frequent small portions beat one big feed, and any uneaten pellets should be siphoned out before they cloud the water during a humid spell.
We stock the full range under general fish food; if you are stocking an Asian-style layout, our betta community tank aquascaping guide and the pellets versus flakes comparison help you match grain size to your fish.
