The FROK A1 Elevating Stand lifts your A1 light bar around 17.5cm above the rim, and that bit of height makes a real difference to how a planted tank looks and grows. We recommend it for aquascapers chasing that clean, open-top gallery look, where the raised light spreads coverage more evenly and lets you trim, plant and feed without a fixture in the way. It also opens up the surface for emersed growth and surface plants.

Raising the light off the glass has a practical benefit in Singapore too: better airflow over the water surface aids a little evaporative cooling, which helps in our warm 27-29C rooms where every degree counts for sensitive plants and shrimp. The added distance softens the light slightly across the tank, and pairing it with a timed photoperiod keeps growth steady while limiting the algae that strong light over warm water can trigger.
