San Francisco Bay Frozen Mysis Shrimp for SG Tanks
Mysis shrimp sits a notch above brine shrimp nutritionally, which is why we recommend this 100g frozen cube tray for conditioning and for fish that need a meatier, more substantial food. It is a reliable choice for finicky eaters, marine fish and many freshwater community species, and it is one of the few frozen foods seahorses will take willingly. The cube format keeps portioning tidy and waste low.
In our warm SG tanks, a quality protein food like mysis supports good condition and colour without you having to overfeed. We thaw a cube in a cup of tank water, drain the liquid, and feed only what is cleared in a couple of minutes so nothing sinks and rots in the substrate. Keeping leftovers down is especially important here, where decomposition runs fast at ambient 27 to 29C.
