Cryptocoryne Albida ‘Brown’ Tropica Pots for Mid-Ground Depth
Supplied in Tropica’s potted form, this albida ‘Brown’ arrives already grown emersed, which gives you a strong root mass to plant straight into the mid-ground. We like it as the bridge between a low foreground carpet and taller background stems, where its medium height and bronze tone add layering without dominating. It is genuinely tolerant of a wide range of lighting, so it works in low-tech and high-tech Singapore tanks alike.
To plant, gently remove the rockwool, separate the plantlets, and tuck each into the substrate so the roots are covered but the crown stays clear. Spacing several smaller portions across the mid-ground reads more natural than one dense block. As with all crypts, allow for an early melt as it converts to submerged growth, then steady regrowth as roots establish.
Our cryptocoryne care guide covers feeding and trimming, and acclimating new plants properly reduces transplant shock. Browse more in our live plants category.
