Ludwigia Sodides for Singapore Aquascapes

This Ludwigia is a fast-growing freshwater stem plant that earns its place as a colourful accent or background filler in a planted layout. Like its relatives in the genus it takes up nitrate and other nutrients as it grows, helping keep water clean while offering shelter and grazing surfaces for fish and shrimp moving through the stems. Planted in small bunches it quickly knits into a fuller backdrop that gives an aquascape real depth.

Ludwigia colour is driven by lighting and nutrient balance rather than being guaranteed. Stronger LED output, CO2 injection and controlled nitrate coax warmer tones, while modest light keeps growth greener and slower.
