Aquatic Farmer Sand Flatter for clean substrate work
The two spatula sizes on the Sand Flatter make levelling and shaping substrate quick work during a fresh setup, whether you are pressing a flat sand bed for a reef or carving slopes for a planted aquascape. We find it especially handy for the dished or terraced beds that suit corydoras and other bottom dwellers, where an even, compacted surface looks tidy and gives the fish a clean foraging zone from day one.
Built from surgical-grade stainless steel, it stands up to saltwater and to the constant humidity our tanks live in better than coated or mild-steel alternatives. As with all our metal aquascaping tools, rinse it in freshwater and dry it after use so salt and moisture do not get a chance to mark the surface. Used at setup, it saves the frustration of trying to neaten a substrate later through a full water column.
