Running the OASE BioSmart Set 14000 in a Singapore garden pond

For a landed-home or courtyard pond in the 5,000 to 14,000 litre range, this gravity-fed flow-through set pairs a foam-and-media filter box with its matching pump so you are not guessing whether the two are sized to each other. In our warm 27-29C water, biological loads build fast, so we like that the BioSmart’s foam stages and built-in cleaning indicator let you see when bacteria have enough surface to keep ammonia in check.

Position the filter box slightly above the water line and let it return by gravity to a stream or waterfall, which doubles as oxygenation during humid, still evenings when dissolved oxygen drops. Because our ponds run heaterless and warm year-round, fish feed and waste heavily, so plan a fortnightly foam rinse in pond water rather than tap, keeping your colonised bacteria alive. Tropical algae pressure also stays high, making the optional clarifier worthwhile.

We stock the full pond range and matching accessories under pond & garden pond. If you are still planning, read our complete pond filtration system guide and how to build a garden pond in Singapore before you dig.
