Long description:
Super Blue Shrimp are a selectively bred Neocaridina color morph prized for their rich blue body coloration. They constantly graze on algae and biofilm, helping maintain aquarium cleanliness. A planted tank with moss and hiding spots allows them to feel secure and reproduce. They are well suited to peaceful community tanks and thrive best in stable, mature aquariums with consistent water parameters.

Keeping Super Blue Neocaridina in Singapore Tanks

The Super Blue is one of the deeper, more saturated blue Neocaridina morphs we stock, and it suits hobbyists who want strong colour without the fuss of more demanding species. Like all cherry-line shrimp, colour intensity here is partly genetic and partly environmental, so a dark substrate, plenty of moss and stable parameters help the blue read truer. We grow ours on locally and pack them ready for SG home tanks.

Our ambient 27-29C means most living rooms keep a colony comfortable without a heater, though we suggest watching the upper end during a hot afternoon since warmer water lowers oxygen and speeds metabolism. Local tap water is soft and chloraminated, so always treat it before a water change and let parameters settle. Avoid any product containing copper, as it is rapidly fatal to shrimp.

Browse the full colony in our shrimp range, and if you are new to these we recommend reading our cherry shrimp care guide alongside notes on remineralising tap water for shrimp before you add livestock.
