ADA Power Sand Advance

Description

Power Sand Special will be switched to POWER SAND ADVANCE. This product has more nutrients than POWER SAND BASIC, and on top of Bacter 100 and Clear Super, it contains BC powder (bamboo charcoal powder), which helps encourage the growth of plants. Choose an appropriate granule size (Small, Medium, Large) based on depth of aquarium water in your tank. 2-liter and 6-liter bags are available.

Layering ADA Power Sand Advance under aqua soil

Power Sand Advance is the base layer we recommend for hobbyists building a serious planted tank under ADA aqua soil. Richer in nutrients than the Basic version, it carries Bacter 100 and Clear Super plus bamboo charcoal powder, creating a porous foundation that houses beneficial bacteria and feeds heavy root-feeders from below. Spread under your soil cap, it gives plants like swords and Cryptocoryne a long-lasting nutrient reservoir while keeping the lower substrate aerated and biologically active.

Match the granule size, Small, Medium or Large, to your water depth so the layer suits your tank’s height, and mound it higher at the back to build the sloped terracing that gives an SG nature-aquarium scape depth in a compact footprint. We advise a generous soil cap on top so the base stays buried, and gentle planting around it to avoid churning the rich layer into the water column during setup.
