The 1kg SUDO S-8820 reef sand is a fine, natural marine sand sized for nano and pico saltwater tanks, which suits the smaller marine setups many Singapore reefers run in apartments where floor-loading and space are real constraints. The fine grain settles into a clean, bright bed that catches reef lighting well and gives a natural seabed look behind your corals and clean-up crew.

As an aragonite-based marine sand it carries a buffering character that helps support the stable, alkaline conditions saltwater livestock need. We always rinse marine sand thoroughly to clear fines before adding it, then let the tank settle and the water clear before stocking. In our warm climate a chiller is often part of a reef build, so account for that when you plan equipment around the display.
