The 1kg SUDO S-8830 crystal orange sand brings a warm, bright tone to freshwater scapes and is a favourite for hobbyists who want their fish to pop against a lighter bed. It is a natural sand that stays neutral in the water, so it works comfortably with our soft local tap water without pushing pH around. The 1kg pack is well sized for the nano and desktop tanks common in HDB flats.

That bright base flatters small, colourful community fish. Guppies, mollies, tetras and angelfish all stand out against the orange tone, and the colour reflects light to keep the tank looking lively. Being inert and pre-washed, it won’t leach anything into the water, though we still recommend a quick rinse before adding and a shallow layer that is easy to keep clean during weekly maintenance.
