EBANG EB-05 low-water filter for SG terrapin and paludarium setups

This flat-back low-water filter is built for shallow setups, which is exactly what most Singapore terrapin and turtle keepers run, and it also suits paludariums and frog quarantine tanks where the water level sits low. The flat profile sits flush against the back glass, and at 400L/hr it moves enough water to handle the heavy waste turtles produce without needing a deep column to operate.

The suction pads anchor it to the glass and the hook lets you hang it at the right depth as your water level changes. As the manufacturer notes, some animals wedge themselves behind the filter and can escape, so a secure lid is essential, especially for active terrapins. In our warm climate turtle tanks rarely need a heater, but they do need strong mechanical filtration, since semi-aquatic species are messy feeders.
