EXO TERRA Daylight Basking Spot 50w for Turtle Tanks

A proper basking spot is one of the most important, and most overlooked, parts of keeping turtles well. Semi-aquatic species like the red-eared sliders so common in Singapore need to haul out, dry off and warm up under a focused heat lamp; this directed daylight basking bulb provides the concentrated warm spot they instinctively seek. Regular basking helps them thermoregulate, dry their shells fully and stay active and healthy.

It is worth being clear about what this bulb does and does not do. It provides heat and bright daylight at the basking platform, but it is not a substitute for proper UVB, which turtles also require, so pair it with a dedicated UVB source. Mount it safely above a dry dock clear of water and splash, and give your turtle a temperature gradient so it can move between the warm spot and cooler water as it pleases, rather than being forced to sit under constant heat.
