This small porcelain clamp light is a fixture, not a bulb, so you pair it with the basking or UVB lamp that suits your species. The porcelain socket tolerates the heat of incandescent and mercury-vapour bulbs far better than plastic holders, which matters in our warm, humid flats where cheap fittings sag and discolour quickly. The sprung clamp grips most rims and mesh tops, letting you angle a focused basking spot over a dry haul-out platform.

Because Singapore ambient air already sits around 27-29C, most semi-aquatic turtles here need the basking lamp mainly for the dry surface temperature and UVB, not to heat the room.
