SUNSUN HQJ-1000B / 1200B Pump and Powerhead for Singapore Aquariums

The HQJ-1000B and 1200B are versatile submersible pumps that work as a powerhead, a filter feed or a circulation pump in both fresh and marine tanks. Built from strong ABS with good insulation, they are the kind of quiet, energy-saving workhorse we recommend when someone needs to move water for an undergravel plate, drive a sponge or internal filter, or simply add flow to a tank with dead spots.

Flow and circulation matter a lot in Singapore. Our warm 27-29C water holds less dissolved oxygen, so keeping the surface moving and eliminating stagnant corners helps both gas exchange and even temperature. Used as a powerhead it can break the surface for aeration, and its compact body hides easily in a planted or rockwork layout. Position the outlet to ripple the surface rather than blast your fish, and clean the impeller chamber periodically so flow stays strong.

See the full water pumps range to match flow to your tank. Our aquarium powerhead guide and guide to increasing oxygen explain how to use circulation to keep tropical tanks healthy.
