TCulture Ludwigia Inclinata in Singapore Planted Tanks

Ludwigia inclinata is a colourful stem plant that can shift from green to warm orange and red tones under strong light, making it a lively background or mid-ground accent. Supplied as a clean tissue-culture portion, it is pest and algae free and easy to divide into small bunches for planting. It rewards Singapore aquascapers chasing colour and contrast in an otherwise green layout.

To pull out its best hues it wants bright light, CO2 and steady fertiliser, including iron; in lower-tech tanks it stays greener but still grows well. Our warm 27-29C water keeps it growing fast, so regular topping and replanting of the tips keeps the group bushy and compact. Give it space at the front of the background so light reaches the lower leaves, and expect a little melt at first as the tissue-culture portion converts to submerged growth.
