Keeping the Sychri Cory in Singapore Tanks
The Sychri Cory is a small, peaceful Corydoras catfish that works the bottom of the tank, hoovering up uneaten food and adding constant gentle movement near the substrate. As a shoaling species it is happiest in a group of six or more; a lone Cory tends to hide, while a proper shoal will forage out in the open and show far more natural behaviour. They mix well with tetras, rasboras and other calm community fish.
Soft sand protects their sensitive barbels, so we suggest avoiding sharp gravel when planning the layout. Singapore’s soft, slightly acidic tap water suits them once dechlorinated for chloramine, and ambient 27-29C sits comfortably in range. As with all Corydoras, clean water and stable conditions matter more than chasing exact figures in a typical flat.
