Description

Riccia Line is a special thread to fix Riccia on the stones and driftwood. The green color thread is barely-noticeable in the aquarium. Also, it is available to fix moss on stones, which is difficult to attach.

Riccia has no roots, so it has to be physically tied down until it anchors, and that is exactly what this 50m green thread is for. We tie pillows of Riccia onto stones and driftwood, then trim and re-tie as it pearls and thickens. The green colour blends into the layout so the wraps stay invisible once growth fills in, which keeps a fresh scape looking clean from day one.

The same thread works beautifully for fixing Christmas moss, weeping moss, and Java moss onto hardscape before it grabs hold. In our warm 27-29C tanks moss and Riccia can grow quickly with light and CO2, so secure attachment early saves you from chasing floating fragments around the tank later. Fifty metres lasts a long time across multiple rescapes and touch-ups.
