Cryptocoryne lutea also comes from Sri Lanka.
Leaves are usually dark green and some display a subtle linear markings.
As with most other species of cryptocoryne, propagation is via runners.
New shoots burst through the substrate just a few centimetres away from the parent plant.
If you want to suppress this spread, it is sufficient to simply remove any new shoots with sharp scissors or a knife.
