Tropical Vitality & Color Granules for Mid- and Bottom-Feeders
These slow-sinking granules suit fish that prefer to feed in the water column or near the substrate rather than snatching from the surface. We like them for community tanks where a mix of mid-water and bottom dwellers compete at feeding time, since the granules descend gradually and give everyone a chance. The colour-supporting formula is the same idea as the flake version, just in a form that reaches deeper-swimming fish.
Granules hold their shape better than flakes in our warm water, so they foul the tank less if a few are missed. Still, feed conservatively in 27-29C tanks where appetites run high and waste accumulates quickly. Drop a small amount, watch it get eaten within a couple of minutes, and adjust the portion to your stocking rather than guessing.
