Syngonium Small Pixie for Emersed and Paludarium Scapes
The Singonium (Syngonium) Small Pixie is a compact arrowhead plant we recommend for emersed, paludarium and terrarium use rather than full submersion. Its small arrow-shaped leaves and tidy habit make it a lovely accent on the damp upper banks of a paludarium or perched above the waterline of a riparium. Submerged permanently it will slowly decline, so plant it where roots stay wet and foliage stays in humid air for the best long-term results.
Our consistently warm, humid Singapore climate suits this plant, particularly inside a covered scape where condensation keeps the leaves firm. Provide bright indirect light, a moist substrate margin and gentle airflow to keep fungus at bay. It looks especially good cascading over driftwood or cork bark, and its roots help mop up nitrates while it knits the land section of your layout together.
Find more choices in our live plants range, and consult our aquarium vs paludarium guide and emersed plant farm setup guide before adding it.
