Description
Description:
Highly concentrated formula for raising calcium levels in marine aquariums. Ca Plus was created for maintaining shortages and sudden drops of calcium levels.
Due to its very assimilable form it ensures easy raising of calcium levels in the aquarium. Calcium is necessary for corals to grow and its deficiencies may result in significant inhibition or stoppage of growth. Ca Plus supports calcification and provides corals healthy growth. The effectiveness of Ca Plus supplementation depends on the proper KH level, therefore it is recommended to use products that raise carbonate hardness (KH Plus or KH Buffer).
Usage:
10 ml of the product increases the calcium level by 20 mg/l (ppm) in 100 litres (27 US gal) of water. Please remember, that maximum safe daily dose is 10 ml per 100 litres of water. If you need a higher dose, split it into a few days. Recommended level: 380 – 460 mg/l (ppm). We recommend dosage based on the individual tank’s needs.
Aquaforest Ca Plus Lab 2L for established reefs
Once a reef matures and the coral load climbs, calcium demand becomes a daily affair rather than an occasional top-up. The 2L Ca Plus Lab is the size we point established keepers toward when the smaller bottles start emptying too quickly. It is the same highly assimilable calcium formula, just packaged for tanks with serious SPS or LPS growth where consumption is steady and predictable enough to justify dosing by pump.
For Singapore reefers running auto-dosers, a 2L bottle reduces how often you are mixing and refilling, which matters in compact condo fish rooms where bench space is tight. As always, calcium uptake hinges on stable alkalinity, so we recommend dosing Ca, KH and Mg in coordination and testing on a fixed schedule. Chasing calcium alone while alkalinity wanders is the classic cause of stalled growth and cloudy precipitation.
It sits with the rest of our marine additives. For dosing strategy and automation, see our two-part dosing guide and our auto-dosing setup guide.
