Dosing ANS Montmorillonite Clay in a Singapore Shrimp Tank

This 120g pack is a finely milled mineral clay that shrimp keepers drop into the tank as a supplement and a grazing surface. As it slowly disperses it releases trace minerals into soft local water, which is exactly the kind of low-mineral starting point most Singapore tanks have straight from the tap. Many of our customers run it alongside dwarf shrimp colonies, placing a small mound on the substrate where the colony tends to gather and feed.

Use it sparingly and observe rather than overdosing the whole pack at once. A pinch every week or two is plenty for a nano tank, and the shrimp will pick over the soft clay as it forms biofilm. Keep an eye on your readings, since adding minerals will shift your TDS over time and you want that drift to stay gradual rather than spiking after a heavy dose into an established colony.
