SUDO S-8910 Medaka Pink Sand for ricefish and livebearers

This 1kg natural pink sand is formulated to nudge water toward neutral-to-slightly-alkaline, which suits medaka ricefish and livebearers like guppies and mollies that prefer harder water than our soft Singapore tap supply naturally provides. The gentle mineral lift is helpful here, where straight tap water often sits too soft and acidic for these species to colour up and breed at their best. The soft pink tone also brightens outdoor tub ponds and indoor display tanks.

We use it as a full substrate in dedicated ricefish or guppy tanks, or as a buffering layer beneath inert gravel. Rinse before adding to clear fines, then allow a day for the water to clear and the parameters to settle. In our 27-29C climate medaka and livebearers thrive without a heater, so a simple planted tub with this base makes an easy, productive setup for breeders.
