The NJ-04 is a ceramic-based lamp holder with a 360-degree adjustable head, an independent switch and a power-rate control, rated for bulbs up to 300W. The ceramic socket is the part that matters most for us in Singapore: basking and heat bulbs get hot, and a ceramic holder tolerates that far better than cheap plastic, which can soften or discolour over months of daily use in a warm, humid flat.
The adjustable head is handy when you want to aim warmth or UVB precisely onto a basking platform without relocating the whole fixture. We still recommend clamping or mounting it on a stable surface away from splashing water, and confirming your chosen bulb sits within the holder’s wattage limit to avoid overheating. Note the bulb itself is sold separately, so pick one to match your reptile.
