Description
Aquarium plant from tissue culture in closed cup.
This Myriophyllum keeps its bright, green colour even at very high light intensity. Every stem will only measure approximately 2-3 cm (1”), but it branches willingly and the plant quickly becomes dense and lush.
Cutting down is often necessary to maintain the access to light and water flow. Its moderate growth makes Myriophyllum ‘Guyana’ particularly adapted to nano tanks.

1-2-GROW!
Small plants with great success. 1•2•Grow! Are very young plants cultivated and delivered directly from our laboratory. The plants are guaranteed to be free from snails, algae and pesticides and therefore are totally harmless for sensitive shrimp and fish. The range offers unique plants!
Success with your aquarium depends largely on the proper plant choice. In a 1•2•Grow! cup you buy a myriad of plants which can be divided into small portions and cover a larger area. Plants are compact from the start so you will experience a dense and beautiful growth, if you give them the right fertiliser and CO2 from the start! The range is perfect for small and medium sized aquariums, and your patience will be rewarded…
The range offers several mosses and specialties such as Rotala macrandra, Rotala ‘Bonsai’ and mini versions of traditional varieties such as Alternanthera and Eleocharis.
Carefully take the plant out of the cup and rinse off the growing media under the tap.
Split the plant in 6-8 portions using your fingers or sharp scissors (for small foreground plants).
Plant portions into the substrate using tweezers. Then watch them grow!
Myriophyllum ‘Guyana’: A Fine-Textured Stem for SG Nano Tanks
Myriophyllum ‘Guyana’ is one of our go-to feathery stems for hobbyists who want delicate texture without red-plant difficulty. It holds a bright, clean green even under strong light, and because each stem stays short at only a couple of centimetres, it branches readily into a dense, lush bush. That compact habit makes it especially suited to the nano and shallow tanks so common in HDB and condo homes around Singapore.
It supplied to us as tissue culture, so it comes clean and pest-free, ideal for shrimp tanks. Growth is moderate rather than runaway, but you will still need to cut it back now and then to keep light and flow reaching the lower stems. Our warm 27-29C water suits it, and added CO2 plus regular dosing keep the fine foliage tight and prevent the lankiness that thin-leaved plants can develop.
Browse our wider live plants range for companions that suit a nano layout. Our Myriophyllum ‘Guyana’ care guide covers lighting and dosing specifics, and our plant trimming guide explains how to keep it dense and bushy rather than leggy.
