Solution for raising carbonate hardness in marine aquariums. KH Plus was created for maintaining sudden carbonate hardness drops and restoring the ionic balance in the aquarium. The proper value of carbonate ions is necessary for healthy corals growth and for building skeletons. Due to the presence of carbonate ions maintaining stable pH level is possible.Dosage: 10 ml of KH Plus solution raises carbonate hardness by 0.25 dKH in 100 l (27 US gal) of water. Carbonate hardness in reef aquarium should be about 6.5 -8.5 dKH. Do not raise dKH more than 0.5 dKH per 24 hours. Please ensure your magnesium level is within the recommended range before attempting to raise or adjust your calcium and alkalinity levels. Product for aquarium use only. Recovering carbonate hardness with AF kH Plus 200ml

KH Plus is the bottle we hand local reefers when alkalinity has slipped and corals start looking unhappy. Carbonate hardness underpins both coral skeleton building and pH stability, so a sudden drop is one of the more common emergencies we field. This 200ml solution lets you correct a dip and restore ionic balance in a controlled way, and on a small nano or pico it lasts a long time given how little you need per top-up.

The cardinal rule is to raise KH slowly. Do not lift carbonate hardness by more than the recommended limit in any 24 hours, because a fast swing stresses corals far more than the low reading you are fixing. We also remind customers to keep magnesium in range first, since chronically low magnesium makes it nearly impossible to hold either alkalinity or calcium steady no matter how much you dose.
