The HW-504A and 505A step up the capacity, pushing around 800 L/hr from a compact body with secure edge clips for a reliable seal. They suit medium community and planted tanks where you want stronger turnover and more media volume than the smallest canisters provide.

Good flow matters in our warm 27-29C water, where higher metabolism and feeding load the biological filter harder than in cooler climates. Aim for turnover that suits your tank size and stocking, and use the spray-bar or directional outlet to spread flow without blasting plants or shy fish. When servicing, rinse sponge and ceramic media in old tank water, never under chloraminated tap, to preserve the beneficial bacteria you have cultivated.
